Hveravellir
Hveravellir is located in the highlands of Iceland Hveravellir Nature Reserve is one of the last great wilderness areas of Europe. The area is accessible via the Kjölur highland route that passes between the glaciers Langjökull and Hofsjökull and connects north and south Iceland. Extending up to the foothills of Langjökull glacier, Hveravellir is a geothermal hotspot with smoking fumaroles and bubbling water holes, some of them possible to dip in for a nice, warm bath.
